Plate Tectonics

  1. It is embarrassing that feeding "Zealand Tectonics" into Google sometimes puts this web site on top of the list, even ahead of professional and University sites. But, I have closed the tectonics section down, since it is sadly out of date. Unfortunately I cannot recommend another site for a simple account of Plate Tectonics around New Zealand. The professional geological sites use terms that are so obscure, ordinary people cannot understand what on earth they are on about. The best of them is probably the Otago University site, but it only does the Southern Alps. Maybe this is only farewell for the moment, but that remains to be seen. John Wattie
